Moving cities feels like a giant dea+h portal 🪦 Today, with a dear, creative soul-sister, we held funerals for the old parts of us that felt unsafe, too much, not enough, unloved, and unworthy of our truest desires and dreams. Highly creative, sensual and empathic, we both have struggled so much with similar pain points, and we felt inspired to make a ceremony to step into a new timeline. I brought an old 2015 painting that holds so much uncertainty, fear, lack, apathy, and doubt in my own creative talents and purpose to be my headstone and we laid dead flowers to honor those fragile, small parts of us that were only trying their best at the time. We have healed through so much and lives a thousand lifetimes since this piece was created. With this Cancer New Moon and the Sun conjunction of Jupiter in Cancer, we’re feeling all the feels, holding room for big sorrows and joys, honoring the places where we just wanted so badly to be loved but in doing so betrayed our own hearts, and letting go of the old stories to make room for following our blissful and abundant lives that we were originally born to say HECK YES to and make it ALL happen. RIP to my starving artist, I learned a lot from you but now lay you to rest in the Spicewood forest. Yesterday, I had a very slow morning of making art. I let my inner child lay on the floor and just play. She’s been showing me the way the leaves and branches on the tree outside make magickal triangles and other sacred geometries. The piece is not quite complete, but this process was dying to be shared to encourage giving your inner child permission to create something just for the sake of solely capturing awe and wonder in a playful way.
