There has been so much beauty and connection of community going on from the aftermath of Harvey, and so may ways that we can reach out and help one another. When Lynn of Art for the People Gallery asked for any artwork to spare for their Hurricane Harvey Relief Art Raffle, I was honored and excited to be a part of the healing process in such a unique way!
With many of our sister cities in Texas affected by the hurricane, there has been so much hope prevailing through the process of rebuilding and replenishing the basic human needs and wellbeing of our neighbors. So naturally, a framed print of “Song of Hope” felt most appropriate to donate for the cause of raising funds for Austin Pets Alive & Central Texas Food Bank! They are two amazing local non-profits that have been actively assisting with the hurricane relief, and if you click on their names, you can see how they have been updating the public with their progress.
Tickets for the raffling are just $10 each and 100% of the proceeds are split directly amongst the two groups. A free Raffle Preview Party is happening on September 15th from 7-10pm, which is the perfect time to look at the 74+ pieces that were contributed by local artists and buy your tickets!
You can purchase your chances to win until October 4th at 12pm CT online or when you visit the gallery. You do not need to be present at the Raffle Preview event or even live in Texas to send funding and receive great art. Thanks for helping out our fellow humankind from the storm, and may the chances ever be in your favor in winning!
With lots of hope,
