inside of the cocoon - original art
“Here inside of the cocoon it is a gooey, sticky mess. The world outside seems to swirl around as I am curled up tightly within my own confines. There is a transformation brewing deep within my DNA, and parts of myself seem to attack this new change that is occurring because it all feels scary and foreign. But I know that this shift is necessary. I hold myself tightly like a hug so that all of me knows that I fully support this temporary phase. I let her melt in every which way however she needs to process. When it is time and the pain has subsided, I will decide to loosen my grip and spread my arms wide like the wings of a butterfly and let my upgraded form be admired in all her strength, beauty and resiliency.”
This powerful acrylic art piece is 40”h x 30”l x 3/4”w and she was created in 2024.
